Police blotter: Burglary suspect should have significant dog bites

Sunday

8:30 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Bennett Street reported a stolen vehicle; it was located at the Kidder cemetery with the battery missing.



11:28 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Windsor Lane reported a man broke into a house and was taking items.

1:58 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Colfax Avenue reported graffiti and other vandalism.




8:59 p.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Joershcke reported people possibly have been sleeping in her vehicle.

Sunday

12:56 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported a theft.

1:49 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Highland Drive reported a residential burglary. Nothing was missing and the suspect should have significant dog bites.

3:32 p.m. — A woman from Indian Flat Road reported a man grabbed her by the neck and hair; she was uninjured.

6:46 p.m. — A caller from Bella Sera Court reported ongoing trespassing issues.

6:56 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Willow Valley Road reported a neighbor was blowing things up in the yard. He was lighting blank cartridges and agreed to stop.

10:11 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Maroon Place reported a possible structure fire.

Monday

2:41 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Canopy Court reported a man ran in the backyard and knocked on the back door, then left.

7:29 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Tranquil Lane reported vandalism to group mailboxes and the theft of mail.

7:35 a.m. — A caller from Alta Sierra Drive and Dog Bar Road reported a person yelling at cars and throwing rocks; they could not be located.

10:28 a.m. — A caller from the old Nevada City airport reported hearing a gunshot and people yelling; it was juveniles playing paintball.

11:23 a.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Coyote Street reported the theft of a rent check.

Saturday

9:23 a.m. — A woman from the 100 block of Boulder Street reported a person threw food on her vehicle; this is an ongoing issue and extra patrols were requested.

12:52 p.m. — A woman reported an assault last night, and was taken to the hospital.

10:48 p.m. — A man from the 200 block of Nevada Street reported people looking at his vehicle with a flashlight.

11:37 p.m. — A man from the 800 block of Gold Flat Road reported a residential burglary. He then reported his cat was also stolen.

Sunday

8:02 a.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Zion Street reported a shoplifter.

7:46 p.m. — A caller from Hoover Lane reported five to six boys skateboarding on the school office roof.
