Police blotter: Bar patrons trying to roofie women

Grass Valley Police Department

Wednesday

8:54 a.m. — A woman from Segsworth Way and Dorsey Drive reported ongoing drug activity at a bus stop; she said her son brought home a hypodermic needle he found there.



10:01 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Mill Street reported the theft of medications from a residence.

10:41 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Olympia Park Road reported a man smoking marijuana in a vehicle, who could not be located.




11:05 a.m. — A caller from Tinloy and Bank streets reported a man urinating at the bus stop. He was gone when officers arrived.

11:15 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Mill Street reported a physical fight; the victim did not want to file a complaint.

11:31 a.m. — A caller reported fraud on a bank account.

11:53 a.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Sutton Way reported a woman shoplifted items and left in a car.

12:26 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a domestic dispute. A woman was arrested on suspicion of violating probation, possessing hash, impersonating another and resisting arrest, as well as for several outstanding warrants.

1:12 p.m. — A caller requested a fraud report.

1:42 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Sutton Way reported a man stole a six-pack of beer and left in a car.

1:57 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a woman stole items from a business and fled.

3:34 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Buena Vista Street reported people selling drugs.

3:57 p.m. — A caller from a business on the 100 block of Joerschke Drive reported a possible stolen or forged check.

4:15 p.m. — A caller from Packard Drive and Kathleen Way reported a physical fight between a fourth-grader and a third-grader on a school bus. One was underneath a seat and both were refusing to leave. They were referred to the school and their parents.

5:43 p.m. — Multiple callers reported a water main leak on Bennett Street. A large area of the city was without water and Public Works was working on fixing it.

9:07 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of South Auburn Street reported a woman yelling, “Give me back my baby.”

9:41 p.m. — A caller from Memorial Park reported jackhammering.

10:58 p.m. — A caller from the 600 block of South Auburn Street reported a 15-year-old hitting the caller and breaking items.

4:31 a.m. — A caller from the hospital reported finding drug paraphernalia in a room.

8:05 a.m. — A caller from Bear River High School reported a possibly drunken parent on campus.

9:12 a.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Pleasant Valley Road reported repeated calls from a man claiming to be a nephew who needs money.

9:50 a.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Auburn Road reported a burglary to a shed.

10:35 a.m. — A caller from Bobolink Court reported an assault.

12:22 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 13000 block of Tyler-Foote Crossing Road reported a burglary with cash and other items.

1:57 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Brunswick Road reported squatters refusing to leave; no one was located.

2:09 p.m. — A CHP officer reported a man in a vehicle had gone into a ditch; he said he was trying to get home because he had gotten a call that family members were burglarizing his house.

2:52 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Cattail Lane reported the theft of jewelry.

3:51 p.m. — A man from the 11000 block of Fairy Ring Mushroom Court reported a person tried to assault him while driving a tractor.

8:13 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Ridgeview Drive reported that a woman kicked a man in the leg and then left in a vehicle. She possibly was drunk and had a 5-year-old girl with her. A be-on-the-lookout advisory was issued.

9:21 p.m. — A caller from Retherford and Magnolia roads reported the theft of a motorcycle.

11:35 p.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Deer Park Drive reported juveniles having a party, smoking marijuana and drinking.

Thursday

1:13 a.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Lime Kiln Road reported two donkeys in the road.

6:23 a.m. — A caller from the 23000 block of Green Court reported identity theft.

Wednesday

9:57 a.m. — A caller from Coyote Street reported finding contraband.

12:48 p.m. — A caller from Union Street reported that a man ordered food and then passed out at the table. He was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.

9:51 p.m. — A man from National Alley reported a broken foot, possibly from being run over while he was drinking and napping, or he tripped.

10:41 p.m. — A woman from Commercial Street reported men in a bar were trying to roofie female patrons. No one was located and staff agreed to keep an eye out for suspicious activity.
