Friday



8:10 a.m. – A woman screaming and pounding on doors and walls was arrested and booked on suspicion of mayhem on the 100 block of South School Street.

9:47 a.m. – A caller from a business on the 300 block of Railroad Avenue reported the overnight theft of some granite. Officers took a burglary report.




2:21 p.m. – A woman called from the 100 block of Stennett Street to say she had hit another vehicle while leaving her hairdresser’s appointment. She left a note on the car but has received no calls back.

4:04 p.m. – A caller from the 100 block of Rockwood Drive reported the theft of four tires. Officers took a report for petty theft.

8:43 p.m. – A woman called to say her stolen credit card was used in a transaction at a downtown store. Officers already had a suspect in custody for the case.

Saturday

12:43 a.m. – A man came into the lobby of the Police Department and requested to be arrested for violating probation. He was booked into the Nevada County jail for public intoxication.

1:07 a.m. – A traffic stop on the 100 block of Auburn Street resulted in a man being arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and booked into the county jail. His passengers took a cab home.

5:53 p.m. – A caller from the 300 block of Mill Street said he was being assaulted and the phone was disconnected. Officers went to the home find the caller had left. They took reports for cases for assault and dismantling telephone communications.

6:01 p.m. – A caller from the 100 block of Dever Lane reported a sick or poisoned fox was laying on the neighbor’s driveway.

1:12 a.m. – A traffic stop on the Empire Street off-ramp of Highway 49 resulted in a man being arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, and having open container of alcohol in the car. He was booked into the Nevada County Jail.

2:10 a.m. – A woman was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving on the 300 block of Columbia Avenue and booked into the county jail.

9:48 a.m. – A caller from the 21000 block of Iron Horse Drive reported violent pit bulls were threatening her horses.

10:40 a.m. – Deputies responded to a home on the 12800 block of Shady Creek Drive after a caller reported drug and prostitution activity there. Deputies arrested a man there for 11364 HS.

11:26 a.m. – A caller reported a cash theft from her home on the 10200 block of Timberland Drive.

11:55 a.m. – A caller reported a rollover accident at Highway 49 and Indian Flat Road. The CHP responded.

11:08 p.m. – A caller from the 11300 block of Polaris Drive reported probation department officers searched his daughter’s room and allegedly damaged the door.

2:18 p.m. – A caller on Highway 49 at Milhous Drive reported a large group of male subjects in two cars were in a fight.

3:50 p.m. – A caller from the 20000 block of Gunstock Road reported a mail theft.

10:09 p.m. – Deputies found eight juveniles sneaking around Union Hill School and released them to their parents.

Saturday

7:16 a.m. – A woman who had called earlier from the 16000 block of David Way

seeking medical assistance said she changed her mind and did not need treatment.

8:02 a.m. – A caller from the Big Spring Drive and Perimeter Road area reported a possible stalker.

1:50 p.m. – A caller from the 12500 block of Paloma Way reported the possible forgery of legal documents.

2:27 p.m. – A caller reported repossessing a vehicle on the 12600 block of Twi-Lite Way.

6:10 p.m. – A woman on the 20600 block of Dog Bar Road reported a fight between two people in her driveway.

11:05 p.m. – A man called from the 11900 block of Meadow View Way and reported loose dogs on his property got into the garage and killed his cat.

Sunday

12:25 a.m. – A driver was arrested for on suspicion of drunk driving on the 17100 block of Frost Court and booked into the county jail. The vehicle was towed away.

4:25 a.m. – A caller from Buckeye Road reported hearing two explosions about 20 minutes apart that sounded like dynamite.

12:52 p.m. – A caller from the 20200 block of Cruzon Road reported a man was outside of her home at the gate yelling for her to come outside and calling her an “animal killer.” She was advised of the restraining order process.

4:39 p.m. – A caller from the 300 block of Gracie Road reported an embezzled vehicle. Officers took a report.

8:14 p.m. – A caller from the 200 block of Commercial Street reported a person fell and suffered a head injury.

Saturday

9:57 a.m. – A caller from the 400 block of Pine Street reported a neighbor had a possible broken pipe in front of their home. Officers found a broken sprinkler head.

Sunday

3:47 a.m. – A caller from the 300 block of Old Downieville Highway reported an assault at his residence. Officers were searching for the suspect. Yuba County authorities arrested the suspect about three hours later.
