Police blotter: Alleged two-time pepper-sprayer arrested

Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

8:24 a.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a man checking vehicle doors to see if they are unlocked. He could not be located.



9:50 a.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Sutton Way reported a man trying to burglarize a vehicle. He was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, possessing a controlled substance without a prescription and loitering. He was being held in county jail in lieu of $12,500 bail.

9:56 a.m. — A man from the 400 block of Salton Street reported a residential burglary with multiple items missing.




12:37 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a man panhandling; he could not be located.

1:48 p.m. — A caller from Allison Ranch and McCourtney roads reported the theft of tools and a tool bag.

3:54 p.m. — A caller from Glenbrook Drive and East Main Street reported a traffic collision involving a fire truck.

4:44 p.m. — A caller from Idaho-Maryland Road and Sutton Way reported multiple transients cooking meth; no one was located.

5:40 p.m. — A man from the 300 block of Sutton Way reported a vehicle break-in with the theft of registration and proof of insurance.

6:11 p.m. — Several callers from Highway 20 and Brunswick Road reported a young boy walking on the shoulder of the highway.

6:20 p.m. — A caller from a business in the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a physical fight involving two women. A woman was trying to leave without paying; she reported that the employee pulled her hair and kicked her out of the business. A woman was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

11:14 p.m. — A caller from East Bennett Road reported locating a camp with a fire in the brush. A man was arrested on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia.

3:58 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Dorsey Drive reported a vehicle burglary.

Monday

9:29 a.m. — A caller from Whispering Pines Lane and Centennial Drive reported someone cut the locks on a container and things were strewn around the property.

9:42 a.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Cattle Drive reported the theft of gas from work trucks.

10:33 a.m. — A caller from the 14000 block of Del Ta Don reported a neighbor using their dog to chase the caller’s livestock.

1:01 p.m. — A woman from the 11000 block of Brunswick Drive reported a vehicle burglary with multiple items taken.

2:41 p.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Lake Wildwood Drive reported the theft of items last month.

3:36 p.m. — A woman from the 13000 block of Highway 49 reported someone messed up the lock on her front door.

3:46 p.m. — A man from the 10000 block of Walker Drive reported a woman just drove by and tried to pepper-spray him. He did not need medical attention. At 7:26 p.m., the same woman pepper-sprayed the caller’s vehicle, and ran off the road. She also tried to run over his friend. A woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of tear gas and spousal abuse.

6:29 p.m. — A caller from McCourtney Road reported someone stole political signs.

Monday

1:31 p.m. — A man reported feeling homicidal and requested a mental health evaluation.
