A caller reported at 12:40 p.m. that a motorist twice drove over a cat on Comstock Court, near Dorsey Drive, and laughed while driving away. A nearby construction worker took the cat to a veterinarian, and the cat is recovering from a swollen and scuffed left rear leg. Police referred the case to Grass Valley Animal Control. According to the cat owner, Animal Control “said it couldn’t do anything.”
