Police blotter 3/7/08
n 11:30 a.m. – A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported a purse was stolen. Police took a report for petty theft.
n 11:45 a.m. – A caller reported a vehicle was vandalized on Park Avenue.
n 1:19 p.m. – A caller reported a vehicle was vandalized on the 700 block of West Main Street.
n 3:06 p.m. – A caller reported a CHP officer pulled over a big rig on Highway 20 at the Highway 49 interchange, and the truck driver appeared aggressive toward the officer. The caller was concerned about the officer’s safety and wanted police to check on the officer.
n 8 p.m. – A caller reported losing a 2-year-old female Dachshund, Lilly Bell, on the 500 block of Eskaton Circle. Police officers and Animal Control were advised.
n 7:42 a.m. – A caller reported a boy was skateboarding down the middle of Hughes Road.
n 10:37 a.m. – A caller reported losing a diabetic testing machine somewhere in Nevada County.
n 10:50 a.m. – A woman called from the 12000 block of Pine Cone Circle, reporting her son’s debit card was stolen in Scotland and the card was used to purchase a camera. A deputy took a report for fraudulent use of an access card.
n 2:36 p.m. – A caller from the 12000 block of Honey Mushroom Lane reported people were tearing out plants 10 feet south of a property line.
n 3:01 p.m. – A man called from the 12000 block of Honey Mushroom Lane to report a person came out of a house and fired a handgun at him. A deputy contacted the man, who was unsure if anyone saw a gun. No one was arrested, and the deputy did not take a report.
n 4:26 p.m. – A caller from the 10000 block of Oak Street reported someone stole medications from a bedroom. A deputy took a report for burglary.
n 4:44 p.m. – A man called from the 21000 block of McCourtney Road to report fraudulent checks were sent to him in the mail. There were no losses incurred, so no report was taken.
n 6:17 p.m. – A woman called from the 31000 block of Relief Hill Road, reporting her land manager hit her and tried to break her door. Deputies contacted both parties. The woman had been drinking and did not remember calling dispatch. The complaint was unfounded.
n 8:51 p.m. – A caller from the hospital reported someone in the emergency room had been assaulted by a juvenile within the sheriff’s jurisdiction. Deputies took a report for assault.
n 6:42 p.m. – A woman called from Gold Flat Road at Zion Street to report she hit a gate at a church, and she could not move her car because it was impaled on the gate. An officer responded, determined there was no damage to the gate, and would remain at the church until the woman’s husband arrived to help with the car.
