— A “Way Yum Sushi to Go” sign valued at $300 was stolen from the a Highway 174 business, a caller reported at 8:37 a.m.

— Between 1:22 p.m. and 2:44 p.m., callers on Names Drive in Alta Sierra, Willow Valley Road near Nevada City, Chaparral Circle in Lake Wildwood, Grinding Rock Drive near Alta Sierra and Highway 174 south of Grass Valley reported getting repeated calls from someone who said “wrong number.”


James C. Franco, 42, was arrested on suspicion of criminal threats for allegedly threatening a neighbor on the 17000 block of Greenhorn Road, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The neighbor reported the incident at 7:27 p.m.

Franco was booked into Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on $10,000 bail.

John J. Barr, 46, of Grass Valley was booked on suspicion of criminal threats into Wayne Brown Correctional Facility at 2:06 a.m. His bail is $10,000. Details of his arrest weren’t available.
