Nevada County Sheriff’s Office


— Daniel Wayne Phillips, 24, of Grass Valley was arrested at 7:51 p.m. on suspicion of methamphetamine possession, paraphernalia possession, syringe possession and failure to pay a fine at a home off Alta Street, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Officers went to the home to serve an arrest warrant, and Phillips was booked into Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on $8,500 bail.

— A resident of the 15000 block of Oak Meadows Road, east of Spenceville Road, reported at 9:09 p.m. that his son had stolen “rare and expensive art” from him, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

— A caller reported at 8:23 a.m. having a white Chevy four-wheel-drive pickup stolen from the 200 block of Sutton Way. The vehicle was recovered the same day in Marysville, according to police.
