Tuesday – 59 calls for service

8:12 a.m. – A man from the 200 block of Maiden Lane reported that he was checking the tires on a vehicle and a woman kneed him in the stomach and knocked him to the ground.

9:42 a.m. – A caller from the 100 block of Lidster Avenue reported a woman who was walking down the street and screaming threw a Doritos can with drugs inside onto a property.

11:05 a.m. – A caller from a business in the 700 block of Taylorville Road reported ongoing theft of DVDs and games by a group of three or four suspects.

11:44 a.m. – A caller from Kidder Cemetery reported a group of two or three juveniles ditching school.

3:07 p.m. – A caller from Memorial Park reported a large group of juveniles “tearing up” the park. One person was cited on suspicion of possessing marijuana. Damage was found to an electrical box behind a soda machine; it was believed to have been caused by transients charging their cell phones.

3:32 p.m. – A caller from the 500 block of Whiting Street reported an attempted burglary.

3:36 p.m. – A caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported possible fraud and abuse issues.

6:42 p.m. – A caller from Marshall Street reported a small brown bear in a vacant lot. At 11:43 p.m., a caller from the 400 block of Marshall Street reported something in a backyard that was found to be a 300-pound bear.

8:18 p.m. – A caller from a business in the 100 block of West Main Street reported a woman stole a painting.

10:07 p.m. – A caller from the 100 block of South Auburn Street reported two men behind a building. One was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.n 10:51 p.m. – A caller from the 100 block of South Auburn Street reported six people in a parking lot yelling for a man to “get out of here” because he has a warrant.


1:01 a.m. – A caller from the 100 block of West Main Street reported a woman refusing to leave. She was removed from the business.

Tuesday – 71 calls for service

8:29 a.m. – A woman from the 17000 block of Friendly Valley Place reported a deer stuck in a fence.

9:23 a.m. – A man from the 31000 block of Relief Hill Road reported his sister had been the victim of domestic violence last night and that he was now in a dispute with the suspect. He then said he was going to fight the suspect and dropped the phone. On call-back, he said there was no physical fight and the parties were separated.

10:04 a.m. – A caller from the 12000 block of Big Blue Road reported a broken window to a house that might have been burglarized.

10:57 a.m. – A caller from Alta Street reported two men sitting in a ditch, using drugs and possibly drinking alcohol. They were cited.

11:33 a.m. – A man from the 14000 block of Pleasant Valley Road reported his wife was missing. He said he went to a doctor’s appointment on Friday and when he returned, he found a note from his wife stating she was going into assisted living and would contact him in four days. He had not heard from her since then. Her son was located and stated she was in assisted living and provided contact information.

5:46 p.m. – A man from the 15000 block of Metcalf Road reported trespassers who acted in a threatening manner when confronted.

6:06 p.m. – A man from Indian Springs Road requested extra patrols because neighbors were possibly using computers to project images and sounds across his property to disrupt his rest.

7:34 p.m. – A caller from the 13000 block of Dog Bar Road reported a man screaming expletives. A man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.

8:07 p.m. – A woman from North Bloomfield-Graniteville and Blue Tent School roads reported four pickup trucks headed toward Nevada City that appeared to be loaded with fresh-cut marijuana. They could not be located.

8:27 p.m. – A man from the 11000 block of Vista Avenue reported a person was drunk just head-butted him. He did not need medical attention and did not want to press charges.

Tuesday – 16 calls for service

1:20 p.m. – A caller from the 500 block of Searls Avenue reported two women in a field yelling at each other. A woman was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

6:22 p.m. – A caller from Calanan Park reported four men using drugs.

7:34 p.m. – A caller from Pioneer Park reported gunshots. It was found to be kids playing with poppers.
