Nevada County Sheriff’s Office


— Equipment was stolen from Ophir Hill Fire Protection District, a caller reported at 11:15 a.m.

— A juvenile at Silver Springs High School was cited with marijuana possession at 11:51 a.m., and another was cited with marijuana possession and having a knife on campus at 12:45 p.m.

— A burglary on the 14000 block of Stagecoach Way in Rough and Ready was reported at 9:34 a.m.

Grass Valley residents James A. Kistle, 51, and Ann Kistle, 40, were arrested on suspicion of elder embezzlement, forgery and possession of forged checks. James Kistle was also being held for suspected meth possession, syringe possession and violating probation. He’s being held without bail at Wayne Brown Correctional Facility. Ann Kistle was also arrested for suspected heroin possession and paraphernalia possession. Her bail is $11,000.
