• At 10:36 a.m., a caller from the 1200 block of East Main Street reported a man tried to return the caller’s lost wallet but wanted money to do so, and left in a beat-up car.

• At 6:06 p.m., police arrested a 42-year-old man for an out-of-area warrant.

• At 5:40 p.m., a caller from the 10000 block of Broken Oak Court reported a juvenile was shooting an airsoft gun outside an apartment complex and nearly hit the caller’s son.

• At 6:41 p.m., a man called to report the theft of an air compressor and weed eaters. The caller said he saw his compressor for sale at a store in Grass Valley. Deputies took a report for petty theft.

• At 7:21 p.m., a caller from Voyager Way reported someone threw a rock through the windshield of a vehicle on Highway 20. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.

• At 10 p.m., an Amber Alert was posted in Nevada County for a 4-year-old girl taken from Springfield, Ill. by her father who may be headed to Highland, Calif. to meet with his girlfriend, who allegedly is an illegal alien, and then may be en route to Mexico.

• At 4:02 p.m., a caller from the 200 block of Main Street reported a theft. Deputies took a report.

Fire Calls

Wednesday

• At 6:03 p.m., a caller from South Auburn Street at Neal Street reported a four-wheel drive Ford Bronco was on fire. The fire department put out the fire.
