Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

7:30 a.m. – A caller from the 11000 block of Bennett Street reported a bear on property. The caller was given the number to Fish and Game.



8:41 a.m. – A woman from the 300 block of Mill Street reported someone threw a rock at her house window some time during the night.

5:37 p.m. – A caller from the 300 block of Pleasant Street reported two subjects were attempting to assault him.




5:50 p.m. – A caller from the 300 block of Sutton Way reported the theft of medication.

11:13 p.m. – A juvenile was reported stealing alcohol from a store at Sutton Way.

Tuesday

12:51 p.m. – Someone reported a red cloth bag containing money was taken from a grocery cart.

3:15 p.m. – A person from the 300 block of Benett Street street called 911 five times to inquire if there was a fire due to the smoke in the air.

Nevada County Sheriff’s Office

Monday

9:17 a.m. – A man from the 17000 block of Vintage Drive reported his property had been vandalized. He requested extra police patrol at night.

9:46 a.m. – A caller from the 11000 block of Francis Drive reported receiving telephone threats from an unknown man.

4:02 p.m. – A caller from the 10000 block of Alta Street reported a man had driven by in a green Jeep and flashed his genitals at young girls working at a lemonade stand. The man went in an unknown direction.

7:11 p.m. – A woman from the 13000 block of Ore Court reported that she has been receiving threats from her boyfriend. Officers contacted her and arrested her 44-year-old boyfriend on suspicion of drunken driving.

8:20 p.m. – A man from the 12000 block of Long Valley Road reported receiving threats from an unknown person who said he was going to harm the man’s family if he didn’t pay an unspecified debt. The caller said the unknown person had a Hispanic accent and identified himself as a lawyer. The phone number was found belonging to a law firm in Torrance.

11:09 p.m. – A woman from the 25000 block of China Hollow Road reported two trespassers on her property. She said she had asked them to leave but they refused.

Tuesday

1:32 a.m. – A caller reported a burglary on the 14000 block of Rough and Ready Highway. The caller said a window was broken, the back door was open and some items were missing.

3:15 a.m. – A caller from the 21000 block of Brewer Road reported a fire.

5:41 a.m. – A caller from the 13000 block of Brooks Road reported a fire.

Monday

8:49 a.m. – A caller from the 400 block of Nimrod Street reported someone stole $980 from the caller’s car.

3:12 p.m. – Officers arrested a 33-year-old man on a local misdemeanor warrant at the intersection of Boulder Street and Park Avenue.
