Grass Valley Police Department

Tuesday

3:41 p.m. – A caller complained of ongoing speeding on Freeman Lane at dusk and asked for extra patrol in the area.



5:34 p.m. – A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported her 10-year-old son was being harassed by a 13-year-old neighbor.

6:40 p.m. – A counterfeit check was received by a business on the 1200 block of East Main Street. A report was taken by officers.




7:21 p.m. – A caller from an apartment complex on Sutton Way reported that when his son took the trash out, a man with a machete strapped to his belt was in the Dumpster. Responding officers said the subject had left the area.

8:57 p.m. – A caller reported being harassed at a Dorsey Drive and Joerschke Drive bus stop.

9:40 p.m. – A caller from the 700 block of Butler Street reported his ex-girlfriend was at his residence wanting to get inside. She left prior to officers’ arrival.

10:59 p.m. – A man was pulled over on LaBarr Meadows Road, arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, drug possession, and possessing a firearm while under the influence. He was booked into the county jail.

11:08 p.m. – A caller from the 600 block of Butler Street reported a person in the area yelling at someone to get out of their home. Officers responding to the scene arrested a 47-year-old man on suspicion of battery and criminal threats.

11:24 p.m. – A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a male just slammed a female’s head into some concrete. All subjects were gone upon officers’ arrival.

11:33 p.m. – A caller from the 100 block of Empire Street reported a domestic squabble with a woman screaming “Let go of me!” Responding officers arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion of disobeying a court order.

Wednesday

1:33 a.m. – A caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive said someone was banging on the wall at her neighbor’s place and the neighbor was not home. Responding officers found the neighbor was at home and agreed to keep it down.

9:32 a.m. – A caller from the 100 block of Glasson Way reported petty theft to a Dodge pickup.

10:13 a.m. – A caller from the 300 block of Pleasant Street reported a stolen bicycle.

Sheriff’s Office

Tuesday

10:38 a.m. – A man called from Blue Lake Road to report his cabin had been burglarized.

3:28 p.m. – A caller from the 19000 block of Lake City Road reported fraudulent charges on the caller’s credit card.

3:37 p.m. – A man from the 23000 block of St. Helena Drive reported his bike was stolen.

7:32 p.m. – A man called from the 10000 block of Willow Valley Road reporting that his neighbor was in his frontyard yelling threats.

9:03 p.m. – A woman from the 12000 block of Shady Creek Drive reported that someone cut the gas line in her vehicle and stole gas from her. Officers contacted the woman who said she wasn’t suspecting anyone in particular at the moment but requested extra patrol in the area. She was encouraged to file a report for petty theft and vandalism.

Tuesday

6:33 p.m. – A caller from the 800 block of Gold Flat Road reported the caller’s house had been vandalized. Someone had thrown eggs at the house.
