Grass Valley Police Department

Friday

9:23 a.m. – Officers arrested a 51-year-old man at the Union Square in Grass Valley on the suspicion of being drunk in public and booked him into Nevada County jail.



1:46 p.m. – A caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported juveniles riding their bikes in a precarious manner in the parking lot in front of the caller’s business. They have been told to leave and have not, the caller said. Officers contacted the juveniles and they left.

5:52 p.m. – Officers arrested a 34-year-old man for battery and possessing drug paraphernalia on the 10000 block of Lee Crest Court and booked him into Nevada County jail.




Saturday

4:25 p.m. – A caller from the intersection of Packard Drive and Brighton Street reported that a man had punched his mailbox. Officers cited and released the 20-year-old man for vandalism.

5:31 p.m. – Officers cited and released a 40-year-old man at Kidder Cemetery for possessing drug paraphernalia and for violation of probation.

12:48 a.m. – Officers arrested a 43-year-old man on the 300 block of Pleasant Street on the suspicion of violation of probation and a 30-year-old woman on the suspicion of spousal abuse and drunken driving. Both were booked into the Nevada County jail.

8:58 a.m. – A man called from the 10000 block of Broken Oak Court to report that his vehicle was vandalized the night before.

1:17 p.m. – A man called from the 11000 block of Larkspur Lane reporting that his ex-girlfriend won’t stop contacting him, though he’s requested her several times to stop calling.

Saturday

5:44 p.m. Ð A caller from Highway 49 reported that he had money stolen from him at the river. Someone took $250 and about 100 CDs from his backpack.

6:40 p.m. – A woman called from the 10000 block of Horton Street reporting that her uncle was at her grandmother’s house and was refusing to leave. Her uncle was in a verbal argument and was possibly drunk, the woman said. Officers arrested the 48-year-old man for an alleged threatening crime and trespassing.

7:06 p.m. – A woman called from the 12000 block of Francis Drive to report that someone had stolen her generator.

Sunday

8:03 a.m. – A caller from the 200 block of Broad Street said that an assault took place the night before in front of the National Hotel.

11:05 p.m. – Officers arrested a 37-year-old man on Broad Street on the suspicion of being drunk in public.
