Pleasant Ridge Union hold special meeting

The Pleasant Ridge Union School District board of trustees will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. today at the James W. Meshwert Building on the 22000 block of Kingston Lane in Grass Valley.

The approval of bills paid, the revised salary schedule for hourly classified staff, and letters of resignation for teacher Tabetha Pope and staff member Mark Rodriguez will be included in the meeting’s consent agenda.

Custodian Bernard Callaway has also submitted a letter of intent to retire.

The district will hire a part-time special education teacher, and language arts teacher, and the governing board will also consider approval of an amended lease with Sierra Montessori Academy.

Also up for review are the Williams Settlement quarter report ending in June 30, 2014, and possible changes to the Local Educational Agency Plan Addendum and the revised AB1200 Study that was approved at the June 3 board meeting.

The board will also discuss the acceptance of a proposal in the amount of $11,890 from D7 Roofing Services and $22,990 from Legacy Roofing, for roof repairs at Alta Sierra and Cottage Hill Elementary school.

The governing board will also consider approval of the revised side letter with the California School Employees Association.
