Planners approve map for 13 lots

Nevada County Planning Commissioners met Thursday to vote on several agenda measures and listen to public feedback regarding the decisions to be made.

The commission approved a tentative final map to subdivide 40 acres on Allison Ranch road into 13 residential lots. This was the second time the Allison Ranch Road issue went before the commission. The commission revisited the issue in order to draw up additional ways to subdivide the property.

The commission also approved a use permit for Four Seasons Landscape Materials to open a landscape materials yard and a retail business on Penn Valley Drive.

The decisions for two other issues on the agenda, a general plan amendment for rezoning a lot in Loma Rica Industrial Park from a public designation to light industrial, and a tentative final map to create 12 residential lots off LaBarr Meadows Drive south of Grass Valley, were not available at press time.
