Grass Valley Charter School kindergartener Yarrow Telford pushes a whipped cream pie into the face of Brian Martinez, the school’s principal, on Wednesday afternoon. Telford and the rest of the students in Susan Mitchell’s kindergarten class each had the opportunity to “pie” Martinez, a prize the class won for raising the most money — $3,300 — during the school’s recent walkathon fundraiser.
