Penn Valley Union School District to hold special board meeting

The governing board for the Penn Valley Union School District will hold a special meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the district office conference room located on the 14000 block of Pleasant Valley Road in Penn Valley.

In closed session, the board will discuss labor negotiations with the Penn Valley Teachers Association, Pleasant Valley Classified Association and the Associated Classified Employees of Ready Springs. Action items on the agenda include contract approval with First Student Transportation, and approval of an extra 10 salaried days to the school psychologist position.

The board will also vote on the approval of contract revisions for the maintenance supervisor, principal and administrative assistant positions with the district. Included on the board’s consent agenda are discussions around the 45-day revision of the district’s 2014-15 budget, emergency operations plan and school safety plan development, and the beginning of school activities and schedules.
