Parade winners announced

The Constitution Day parade this year had 75 groups participating in the event, Cathy Whittlesey, executive manager at the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce said.

The groups were given first, second and third prizes under various categories.

“They were judged on the basis on things like the theme, the originality of the entry,” Whittlesey said. “First place winners get a beautiful plaque. Second, third place winners and honorable mentions get ribbons.”
