Outage in Grass Valley

A Pacific Gas and Electric crew has been dispatched to correct an outage that occurred in the downtown Grass Valley area about 3 p.m.

PG&E spokesman Paul Moreno said 1,144 customers are out of service due to a transformer problem on Stewart Street just off East Main street downtown.

The time of restoration is unknown and won’t be until the crews make an assessment on scene, Moreno said.

The outage is affecting homes and businesses on Idaho-Maryland Road, along West Main Street, out Rough and Ready Highway and on Doris Drive, Alta and Townsend streets.
