Our community shouldn’t tolerate acts of vandalism

Regarding the two 15-year-old boys who were cited for the tire slashing of over 20 cars in my neighborhood – I think it is essential that the Nevada County DA prosecute to the fullest extent of the law; and they should pay for the cost to replace all of the tires. This was a serious act of vandalism. The cost to me was $187 to replace a 4WD tire that was slashed and there are victims who had all four tires slashed.

A message must be sent that acts of vandalism and crime will not be tolerated in Nevada City, period.
