Ombudsman program seeks volunteers

Volunteers are need for Ombudsman Services of Northern California. Participants assist residents in long-term care facilities with problem solving and investigate cases of abuse and neglect in Nevada County. Volunteers must attend a certification training class.

Historical Society event set for Thursday



The Nevada County Historical Society program for Thursday, “On and Off the Pedestal: the evolution of attitudes toward women during the gold rush and early settlement of California,” presented by Katie Green, takes place at 7:30 p.m. at the Railroad Museum in Nevada City.
