No contest plea for North San Juan man

A North San Juan man has pleaded no contest to being a felony in possession of a firearm, after more serious charges against him were dismissed by the District Attorney’s office.

Attempted murder charges against Delgado have been dropped, as well as assault with a firearm, criminal threats and intimidating a victim, according to the District Attorney’s office.

Delgado was sentenced instead on Sept. 2 to three years of supervised probation and 57 days of jail time, according to his case file.

Delgado was arrested in May on suspicion of assaulting his son and attempting to kill him.
