Nine candidates invited to forum at BRHS

Candidates for state and federal offices have been invited to a candidates’ night sponsored by South Nevada County Concerned Citizens on Jan. 15.

The event will be at 7 p.m. at the multipurpose room of Bear River High School. Students from the high school’s advanced-placement government class will moderate.



The three candidates for the 4th Congressional District – incumbent Republican John Doolittle, Republican challenger Bill Kirby and Democrat Mark Norberg – have been invited.




Also invited are candidates for state Senate District 4 – Republicans Sam Aanestad and Dick Dickerson and Democrat Marianne Bopp Smith – and three candidates in the 3rd Assembly District – Republicans Rick Keene and Dan Ostrander and Democrat Stuart King.
