NID director: No raises going out to staff today

No raises are going out to staff at a closed session meeting of the Nevada Irrigation District Board today, a director said.

Directors will give direction to staff regarding the district’s negotiations for salary, benefits and working conditions of General Manger Ron Nelson, Assistant General Manager Tim Crough, Hydroelectric Maintenance and Operations Superintendent Bill Morrow, Human Resources Manger Yvonne DuBose and District Counsel Jeff Meith.

“What the board will be dealing with is what our interests are as negotiations go forward,” Division Five Director Nick Wilcox said.

The closed session isn’t a result of a job classification and compensation study performed by Bryce Consulting Inc. of Sacramento, said Wilcox, and won’t result in any board action.

The special meeting starts at 9 a.m. today at 1036 W. Main St., Grass Valley.
