Gate change at Saturday growers market

The Nevada County Certified Growers Market will meet from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at Gate 8 of the Nevada County Fairgrounds because firefighters have set up base at Gate 4. Also Saturday, market organizers will give away two baskets loaded with local produce and goodies compliments of the growers in appreciation of the customers. Vendors will have tickets at most booths, and the baskets will be awarded at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Customers must be present to win. This new attraction will take place on the last Saturday of each month throughout the 2008 growing season.
