New guard dog needed

At 9:07 p.m. Monday, a man from the 500 block of Main Street in Nevada City reported a burglary to his house.

He said someone broke in through the back door with a sledgehammer. Change was taken and his dog was gone. The dog was found napping.

For more from the police blotter, read Wednesday’s edition of The Union.
