New chaps, new interior

The Fur Traders plans to temporarily close one of its two Nevada City stores to remodel the interior. Signs taped to the windows announce the closure, along with a 50-percent sale on some inventory and store fixtures.

The shop, located at 319 Broad St., next to the Bonanza Market, will be open for another month or so, Assistant Manager Megan Wilson said Tuesday.

The sale is aimed at getting rid of some of the store’s inventory before shutting down for the remodel, Wilson said.

Once closed, construction should take about two weeks to a month to complete, she said. Fur Traders’ other store, also on Broad Street, will remain open for business the entire time.
