New Buddhist study course offered beginning this week

A new Mahayana Buddhist Study course in a study group format will be offered over eight Sundays, beginning this weekend.

People long for meaning, for an effective way to bring insight and heart to the ordinary circumstances and inevitable challenges of our daily lives. On the basis of Gelek Rimpoche’s national bestselling book, “Good Life, Good Death,” this free Jewel Heart course will explore pragmatic methods to bring depth, meaning and joy to our lives, according to organizers.

The community is invited to join the study course from 6:30 to 8 p.m. this Sundays and April 12, 19, 26, 31 and June 7 at the Kinfolk Yoga Center, 204 W. Main St., No. 104, Grass Valley.

The free Jewel Heart course, called the “Art of Living,” is facilitated by Jewel Heart instructors and is normally $80 or free to Jewel Heart members. Donations will be accepted.
