New Baby & Me classes start this week

First 5 Nevada County has new Baby & Me classes starting this week and there is still room for sign-ups.

Classes meet on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and will be held at Partners Family Resource Center at 235 South Auburn St. in Grass Valley. Baby & Me is described as gentle playtime for new parents and babies from birth to 1 year. It is offered to all Western Nevada County parents of infants. The program coordinator is Marriage and Family Therapist Meg Luce.

First 5 offers Baby & Me free for those new to the program. If parents wish to continue after the first 10 weeks, there is a $5 per class fee and a sliding scale for people able to pay little or nothing.

Baby & Me helps answer many of those nagging little questions that tend to plague parents of infants, according to Luce.

Visit First 5 Nevada County’s Facebook page to view photos of families enjoying Baby & Me, as well as other First 5 programs. Contact Meg Luce for class times, questions, and to sign up for Baby & Me, at (530) 913-2745 or by e-mail, meg@first5nevco.org.
