Nevada Union grad earns doctorate

Nevada Union High School graduate Melissa Jennifer Kenney Howe received her Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Sociology) Aug. 30 from the University of Chicago at the 516th Convocation in Rockefeller Memorial Chapel.

Robert J. Zimmer, President of the University, presided.

Melissa Kenney Howe received her bachelor degree from the University of California, San Diego and her masters degree in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge, England.



Attending the ceremony were Melissa’s husband Thomas Howe and son Michael, father Michael Kenney, grandmother Arline Kenney, and David and Karen Howe.
