Nevada Union Dance students rehearsing for this weekend’s showcase

“A dancer has to be an athlete and an artist,” said Nevada Union Dance Department Director Yelena Holt.

This weekend’s Student Choreography Showcase, which starts tomorrow night at the school’s Don Baggett Theater and runs through Saturday, highlights both the athletic and the artistic, as 16 students present their work on stage.

Shows start at 7 p.m. each night. Tickets cost $10 to $15 and are available at the box office at 5:30 p.m. before each show, or online at
