Nevada County Transportation Commission seeks input on regional plan

The Nevada County Transportation Commission (NCTC) invites members of the public to provide input on the update of the Nevada County Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) 8:30-1 p.m. today at the Nevada City Farmers Market in downtown Nevada City.

The purpose of the RTP is to document the short-term (10-year) and long-term (20-year) regional transportation needs, and sets forth an effective, cost-feasible action plan to meet these needs. The RTP documents the policy direction, actions, and funding strategies designed to maintain and improve the regional transportation system in Nevada County.

The outreach event will feature an open-house format for residents to discuss regional transportation needs, issues, and concerns with NCTC staff and Fehr & Peers, its consultant hired to update the plan.

Visit http://www.nctcrtp.fehrandpeers.net to see the plan online, where the website will feature a short survey and the latest information on the project.
