Nevada County Supervisors to hold public hearings on Echo Ridge Drive, Cedar Glen proposals

Proposals to create permanent road divisions and levy parcel charges at two sites in Nevada County are on the agenda for Tuesday’s county board of supervisors meeting.

The meeting, scheduled for a later-than-normal 10 a.m. start time, will be at the county’s Eric Rood administration building, 950 Maidu Ave., Nevada City.

Public hearings on permanent road division proposals at Echo Ridge Drive and at Cedar Glen are scheduled starting at 11 a.m.

In the absence of a majority protest, county staff would be directed to count the mail-out election ballots regarding the parcel charge. If a majority of the ballots support the charge, PRDs would be created in those areas.

In other business, an agenda item for a second, final public hearing and vote on a controversial proposed outside events ordinance has been moved to Aug. 12.
