Nevada County Police Blotter: Transient woman tries to pull driver from vehicle

9:44 a.m. — A caller in the 100 block of Joerschke Drive reported a man passed out behind a business. Police arrived, but discovered the homeless man had left.
12:01 p.m. — A caller in the 200 block of Bennett Street said he’d evicted tenants and changed the locks at a home. However, a neighbor told him that some juveniles were inside the house overnight.
12:33 p.m. — A caller in the 800 block of Sutton Way reported an older woman and a man near a retaining wall drinking Jack Daniel’s and beer while smoking cigarettes.
1:35 p.m. — A caller in the 800 block of Old Tunnel Road reported two people under some outside stairs drinking alcohol.
5:14 p.m. — A caller in the 600 block of Sutton Way reported that a transient woman attacked the caller while she was in her vehicle. The suspect, who yelled and tried to pull the caller from her vehicle, then ran to a nearby store.
8:02 p.m. — A caller at Highway 49 and Dorsey Drive reported a man on the side of the road walking into traffic. The caller said the man might be trying to get hit by a vehicle.
8:03 p.m. — A caller in the 100 block of Harris Street reported a man in the bushes watching her in the bathroom through the window. The caller then reported a fire at a transient camp.
9:35 p.m. — A caller in Penn Valley reported a person was at the hospital after being assaulted. The victim declined to provide police with any names or say what occurred.
11:45 p.m. — A caller in the 1900 block of Nevada City Highway reported that a man was harassing and threatening her. Police arrived and arrested someone on an outstanding warrant.
1:57 a.m. — A caller in the 100 block of South Auburn Street reported a disturbance in the store’s parking lot. People were pushing others against the windows. A woman inside the business was yelling while another person with a bloody face was outside.
7:28 a.m. — A caller in the 200 block of East Main Street reported that transients left the property after camping overnight.
8:38 a.m. — A caller at Brunswick and Idaho Maryland roads reported a man lying on the shoulder of the road. The man was smoking and sprawled on the ground.
8:59 a.m. — A caller in the 200 block of Mill Street reported a group of transients loitering nearby.
9:13 a.m. — A caller at Bank Street and Highway 49 reported transients loitering and drinking alcohol.
6:27 p.m. — A caller in the 200 block of Collins Lane reported a man hiding in the bushes on her property. Police found the man, who left the area.
9:30 p.m. — Dispatchers state there were two to three transients behind a church in the 200 block of South Church Street.

9:48 a.m. — Dispatchers report that a marijuana ordinance violation occurred on Scopar Road.
10:26 a.m. — Dispatchers report that a marijuana ordinance compliance check occurred on Giants Causeway.
2:43 p.m. — A caller in the 14000 block of Highway 49 reported the theft of medication from a mailbox.
8:21 p.m. — A caller in the 19000 block of Larsen Road reported nine people at a campsite threatened to beat him up.
9:58 p.m. — A caller in the 13000 block of Torrey Pines Drive reported a burglary in progress.
5:15 a.m. — A caller in the 21000 block of Sunnyside Lane reported a prowler outside her house with his pants down. The prowler put his hand inside the house and turned on the lights.
6:55 a.m. — A caller in the 24000 block of Pleasant Valley Road reported a burglary that occurred over the past few days.
8 a.m. — A caller in the 12000 block of Big Blue Road reported a man on the property threatening to kill the caller. The caller said the man tried to stab him several years ago.
10:41 a.m. — A caller in the 10000 block of Greenwood Road reported a barn was burglarized.
12:01 p.m. — A caller in the 24000 block of Highway 49 reported a juvenile who intentionally started a vegetation fire behind some cabins. The fire was extinguished.
12:33 p.m. — A caller at Jackass Flats and Tyler Foote Crossing roads reported an ATM laying in some gravel, about a quarter mile from Tyler Foote Road.
12:35 p.m. — A caller in the 14000 block of Arrowhead Mine Road reported a bear broke into his barn. A dog chased the bear away.
3:09 p.m. — A caller in the 10000 block of Bragg Avenue reported a transient who had been in a home’s flower bed and appeared unable to walk.
9:29 p.m. — A caller in the 12000 block of Highway 49 reported a bear in a ditch that was struck by a vehicle. The bear appeared dead, though the caller wasn’t certain.
