Nevada County Officials: Cascade Shores slide damages homes

Nevada County staff and soils engineers on Monday inspected a recent slide area in the Cascade Shores neighborhood near Mountain View Drive and Pasquale Road.

Due to additional soil movement in the area, officials say damage to several homes was observed. Owners of the affected homes have been advised and utilities have been shut off as a precaution, should additional soil movement occur. The area will continued to be monitored and residents are advised to call the Public Works Department at 530-265-1411, if additional minor soil movement is observed or 911 if substantial soil movement is observed.
