Nevada County Democrats move headquarters to new location

The Nevada County Democrats Headquarters is moving to a bigger space, due to an increase in membership, according to a news release.

The new office is located at 138 Mohawk Ave., Nevada City, right next to the Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum and only about four minutes up Highway 49 from the current location.

It is still on the second floor, but this building has an elevator. It will have two separate rooms, one for storage and one for an office. It also has access to two conference rooms, for larger meetings. In addition, there is a large reception-type area on the second floor, which can be used for phone-banking and/or assembling/distributing materials. The open house is in September. The First Tuesday Educational forum is also moving to the Banner Grange at 12620 McCourtney Rd. Grass Valley starting Sept. 2. The new location has a bigger space, is more centrally located and has lots of parking. The next Forum will feature Betty Yee, candidate for state controller, and Heidi Hall, candidate for Congress in the House of Representatives.
