Nevada County Book Sale extended to Nov. 6

The 20th Annual Nevada County Book Sale to benefit United Way of Nevada County has been extended until Nov. 6. The sale is at the Rood Center in Nevada City.

The 20th Annual Nevada County Book Sale to benefit United Way of Nevada County is going so well, that the county has extended it until Nov. 6. Donated books are still being brought in every day. Choose from mysteries, adventures, science fiction and more. Nevada County is currently holding its annual Book Sale at the Rood Center Lobby, located at 950 Maidu Ave in Nevada City. The sale is open to the public; Mon-Fri, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

All proceeds go to United Way of Nevada County. There are a variety of books on hand, including children’s, cookbooks, fiction and non-fiction ranging in price from $.50-$2, and tapes, cds and dvds for $1-$3. This event is just one of many Nevada County is holding to benefit United Way of Nevada County. They are no longer accepting donations of items for the Book Sale.

In addition to the Book Sale, United Way of Nevada County is currently collecting donations of new socks and gloves to help keep our community warm this winter. You may drop off your donated items at the Rood Center during the Book Sale.
