NCTV invites Nevada County nonprofits to record free PSA

NCTV has invited representatives from all nonprofit organizations to come to the NCTV studio at 134 E. Main St., Grass Valley, to record a public service announcement (PSA) about their organization.

According to Jan Fishler, NCTV producer and board president, “PSAs are a great way for nonprofit groups to communicate a message through the mass media and get the word out about the work they do in our community.”

The first recording date will be Feb. 20. Each non-profit will have 15 minutes to deliver a 30-second message that will be recorded in the NCTV studios. Within a week, the message will be seen on Channel 11 and on the NCTV website: http://www.nevadacountytv.org. Nonprofits will also be given a copy of the PSA to play on their website and Facebook page, and on other social media.

To get the most out of the recording session, it is recommended that the content be practiced ahead of time and be no more than 30 seconds. One or two photos and a logo can be included in the message, and should be emailed in advance to: jim@breckport.com.

This one PSA can be recorded at no charge.

To schedule a time for a member of your organization to come to the NCTV Grass Valley studio, contact Jan Fishler at 530-277-9173.

“We look forward to helping all nonprofits get the word out about the good work they do for our community,” Fishler added.

NCTV broadcasts on Comcast channel 11 and on Suddenlink channel 16. NCTV government programs broadcast live on Comcast and Suddenlink channel 17. NCTV educational programs are broadcast on channel 18. Watch NCTV online at http://www.nevadacountytv.org.
