The Cascade Shores Wildland Urban Interface Training originally scheduled by Cal Fire for Tuesday has been canceled.

With multiple fires in Butte, Sierra and Madera counties, the Nevada-Yuba-Placer Unit engine/staffing has been drawn down from 21 to seven engines to support the fires, combined with various participating cooperative fire agencies out of unit as well.

Cal Fire Battalion Chief Matt Wallen said the drill scheduled for Tuesday, July 11, will be rescheduled to the alternate date of the July 25.
