Monks make art at St. Joe’s

Tibetan Buddhist monks Jangchup Rabgyal and Jampa Palden work on a yamantaka sand mandala – a form of sacred art – Saturday at St. Joseph’s Cultural Center in Grass Valley. The monks are part of a group visiting from Gaden Shartse monastery in India and will be here until Feb. 3.
