Monday night crash due to speeding, CHP says

A Grass Valley woman was involved in a single-vehicle accident Monday night when her 1995 blue Nissan Sentra went off the roadway, rolled over and ran into a dirt embankment near the intersection of McCourtney and Indian Springs roads, said Officer Brant Hardin, with the California Highway Patrol in Grass Valley, Tuesday.

The collision occurred because the vehicle was traveling at an unsafe speed, Hardin said. The 19-year-old woman was transported to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital by ambulance after complaining of a lower back pain, Hardin added.
