Missing person at Englebright

It is not being called a drowning yet, but the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a missing person at Englebright Lake.

A dive team is searching the lake this morning according to department spokeswoman Melanie Oakes, who had no other details.

The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office is assisting in the search, according to department spokeswoman Donna Nelson.

There was another feared drowning at the Emerald Pools area in the South Yuba River Wednesday that produced good news, Nelson said. A man who could not be found by friends after swimming in the river was later discovered at home in Reno.
