Missing Nevada City man found safe

A 27-year-old Nevada City man who was reported missing Sunday has been found, according to a statement issued Tuesday morning by the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.

Conor Hestbeck had been reported missing by his family Monday. He reportedly had last been seen Saturday, and did not return home or show up at work the following day.

News of his disappearance was released by the Sheriff’s Office Monday afternoon, and was shared widely on social media. Many in the community helped search for Hestbeck, driving and even flying his potential routes.

A statement from the Sheriff’s Office was issued just before 10 a.m. Monday that said simply that Hestbeck was found and was doing well.
