Mini Coopers inspire maximum love

Mini Cooper lovers of northern California and surrounding areas converged Saturday at the Mini-Mania store on Gold Flat Road in Nevada City for the sixth annual Nevada City Adventure.

“This is a gathering of people who bring the Mini Coopers they have worked on and show them off,” said Bill Hunter, purchasing manager at the store. “It’s like a car show.”

Mini-Mania retails restoration parts and performance accessories mainly for Mini Coopers, Hunter said.

The event started at 8 a.m. and continued till late afternoon.

“In the past years, we have had people come from Reno and the Bay Area,” Hunter said. “Last year we had people from Los Angeles, Washington and Oregon. This is primarily a West Coast event.”
