Mine forum to be held at Center for the Arts

A free discussion on the proposed reopening of the Idaho-Maryland Mine with a variety of panelists will be held at 6:30 p.m. today at The Center for the Arts, 314 W. Main St., Grass Valley. Panelists include David Watkinson, president of the Idaho-Maryland Mining Corp.; local environmental attorney Greg Martin; hydrologist Dr. Tom Myers; mining specialist and economics professor Dr. John Dobra, of the University of Nevada; and toxic mining legacy analyst Mike Thornton, of the Sierra Fund.
