Four panelists from the Mideast Peace Project of Sacramento will speak on the conflict in the Middle East from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the United Methodist Church in Grass Valley, 236 S. Church St.

The panelists are:

-Akef Shihabi, co-founder of MEPP and a member of the Arab-American Anti-Discrimination Committee;

-David Mandel, a newspaper editor for 20 years in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Sacramento, who has been involved in Palestinian-Israel peace efforts since 1969;

-Michelle Stowell, a Palestinian-American who has worked in U.N. Palestinian refugee camps. She has a master’s degree in Arab studies from Georgetown University.
