Meltdown coverage delayed

If you see television crews around Nevada County today, they’re not from the “Today” show – that NBC piece on the Nevada County Meltdown Challenge has been rescheduled again to air Wednesday morning.

However, MSNBC television crews and a reporter for the “Nightly News With Tom Brokaw” will be spending the day filming in Nevada County and talking to people about the communitywide weight-loss initiative.

Both news organizations will be at the Meltdown meeting tonight at 7 at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. Also filming at the meeting will be Splash News Service from Britain.

The Union columnist Carole Carson has some surprises planned for this evening’s meeting. She said that the news organizations want to talk to team members if they are willing. Carson also asked that participants bring chairs if possible, because more than 1,000 people are expected.
