MEET YOUR NEIGHBOR: Kassi Dennis, 12, Grass Valley

How long I’ve lived in Nevada County: For about 11 years.

Why I like living here: I like living in Grass Valley because it is a cute, small town and not that far from Sac.

What I do in my spare time: Hang out with friends and family, and play lots of sports for fun.



My family: My mom, Denise; dad, Adam; sisters Kayla and Laura; and brother, Adam.

Best friend: Sofia Dotto, Brittany Bates and Christy Hall.




Favorite food: My favorite food is Chinese.

Job: School, and soon to be working at The Pet Mine.

What I like about my job: I get to see my friends, and get good grades.

If I won a million: I would move to Hawaii, and then donate part to poor people.

My favorite vacation: Hawaii

My dream vacation: Is to go to Jamaica.

The most important lessons I’ve learned: To be honest and true in all I do.

The people who have made the biggest difference in my life: My family and most important, my mom and dad.

My hero: My loving parents and my basketball pro sister, Kayla.

My personal theme song: “I Am Beautiful,” by Christina Aguilera.

Favorite TV Show: “SpongeBob Squarepants.”

A movie I’d recommend: “Mr. Deeds” and “Scooby Doo.”

What you should know about me: I love sports, dance, and last but not least, singing. I love my family with all my heart, and love to write stories and read books. I go to the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints. I love to make people laugh, and I have to admit I am weird.
