Market beef must be tagged Sunday

Mandatory tagging of all market beef to be entered in the 2002 Nevada County Fair will be Sunday at the county fairgrounds.

All FFA, 4-H, Grange and independent exhibitors are required to bring their market steers to the fairgrounds from 8 a.m. to noon for ear tagging. Exhibitors must present a bill of sale to fair officials or a letter stating that they bred their market steer.

The Junior Livestock Auction is scheduled for Aug. 11, the last day of the fair.

For more information on market steer tagging or to become involved in the auction as a buyer or volunteer, call the fair at 273-6217.
